Divine Signs and Graphics Receives Best Friend of Illinois Parks Award from the Illinois Association of Park Districts

At Divine Signs and Graphics, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve that have helped us become the business we are today.  One of the ways we have always given back to the local community is by supporting the Schaumburg Park District and Schaumburg Park Foundation.  In recognition of our efforts to support the local park district, we were recently given the Best Friends of Illinois Parks award from the Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD).

Divine Signs and Graphics has worked with the Schaumburg Park District and Schaumburg Park Foundation for more than 20 years, as well as more than 130 parks and recreation agencies.  Over that time, we have supported events put on by these organizations with in-kind donations and volunteer support.  Our sponsorships have helped the Park District improve local parks and better serve the residents.  We are very grateful to be nominated for this award by the Schaumburg Park District/ Foundation.

Best Friend of Illinois Parks Award

The Best Friend of Illinois Parks Award is given to a business or corporation that has shown exemplary support of a local park district, forest preserve, conservation, recreation, or special recreation agency.  The support provided may include but is not limited to the following:

• Serving as committee members or volunteering staff to help with events or activities.

• Contributing monetary or in-kind donations.

• Providing awareness and support of the value of park districts, forest preserves, conservation, recreation, and special recreation agencies.

• Advocating for quality of life experiences in relation to park districts, forest preserves, conservation, recreation, and special recreation agencies.

• Promoting statewide park, recreation, and conservation initiatives including Friends of Illinois Parks, Park District Conservation Day at the Illinois State Fair, Parks Day at the Capitol, Park District Youth License Plate Program, etc.

The IAPD held the 14th Annual Illinois Association of Parks Districts’ Best of the Best Awards Gala November 12, 2022 virtually on their YouTube channel.  A number of awards were presented at this event, including the Best Friend of Illinois Parks award.  We are very proud to receive this award and look forward to continuing our relationship with the Schaumburg Park District and Schaumburg Park Foundation to help make an impact on our local community.
